Fondly called “Das Brothers” both G. Madan Mohan Das and G. Balakrishna Das are the founding members of the South Indian Philatelists Association, Chennai in 1956. Under the able stewardship of veteran philatelists like J.N.Copper, R. Wadia and R.F.Shroff, they learnt philately. Over the decade, both had won a number of awards in State, National and International exhibitions.
While Madan Mohan Das served as a Member of the Philatelic Advisory committee of the Department of Posts, Balakrishna Das nurture young Philatelists, created awareness by organizing several promotional activities like seminars and workshops and brought philately close to them. This special cover is released during TN DIGIPEX 2022 in honour of the “Doyens of South India Philately”
