INS Rajali was commissioned on 11 March 1992 and has been the abode for Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance Aircraft TU-142M (Indian Naval Air Squadron 312) and Chetak Helicopters Training School (Indian Naval Air Squadron 561). With induction of advanced Boeing P81s and HALE RPAs, Rajali continues to be the mainstay for carrying out Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance and surveillance towards safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
