Bar headed Goose ( Anser indicus ) is a remarkable waterfowl species known for its high-altitude migrations, impressive endurance, and distinctive markings. Native to Central Asia, these geese breed in regions surrounding the Himalayas, Tibet, and Mongolia. During the winter, they undertake extensive migrations to warmer areas, and some of them make their way to Point Calimere, situated on the south-eastern coast of India in Tamil Nadu.
